Novak Djokovic admitted he did not know whether he should finish his fourth-round French Open match against Francisco Cerúndolo. The world No 1 slipped a few times during the match and began ‘feeling the pain’ in his knee. After receiving treatment from a physio during the medical timeout it was the maximum dosage of medicine that helped him continue to see out the game but Djokovic acknowledged ‘the effect of the medications will not last for too long’, meaning he will have to consider whether he continues in the tournament.
