Promotion at stake as Kayole Starlets readies for KISPED clash

Kayole Starlet’s Drailer Salome feels her side could have been top of the FKF Women’s Zone A Super league had they done better in just one match towards the season’s closure.A win in it, coupled with some fair tidings from another match elsewhere, could have had them earn direct promotion into the top flight premier league.Having faltered and finished second, however, Starlet now are tasked with a crucial playoff contest against an unpredictable KISPED, who themselves finished second in Zone B.⏭️ Saturday | 08.06.24 | Dandora One last dance! They are more like a tournament and that’s why we will go all out. The players understand what is at stake, promotion. Having worked all season round for this chance, I think we have the potential to emerge victorious,’’ she says. While in between clubs, Salome once honored a trial invite from the Lakeside team, but eventually opted out.She says they will pose a formidable opposition.FIFA U17 WCQ: Junior Starlets ramp up preparations ahead of Burundi clash“I have been with the team in the past and I understand how much experience they have. It would have placed us in a favorable position but that is in the past now. The target remains promotion and that’s why we will go at KISPED with everything we have,’’ Salome, who was in the books of Tanzanian side Alliance for the first leg says.##NAJAVA_MECA_8136659##KISPED will make their way to Nairobi on the 6 June to take on Starlet for the only available promotion slot remaining.Hosted at Dandora stadium, the contest will also serve as a curtain raiser for the second clash of the day, an overall Super league title decider pitting former premiership sides Mombasa Olympic against Kisumu All Starlets from Zone B.
