After the best players on the PGA Tour finish up at Jack’s Place this weekend, the golf world will travel to North Carolina for the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. The third men’s major championship of the year will take center stage next week and there are plenty of superstars playing high-level golf.
World No. 1 and Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, unsurprisingly, is the betting favorite at 4/1, followed by 2011 U.S. Open winner Rory McIlroy at 11/1. McIlroy is still searching for his first major championship title since the 2014 PGA Championship. The Northern Irishman has finished T-9 or better in each of his last five appearances at the United States Golf Association’s flagship event.
The Donald Ross-designed Pinehurst No. 2 will play as a par 70 measuring 7,543 yards.
Here’s a look at the early betting favorites for the 2024 U.S. Open.
