The day is finally here!A date with fate and destiny for Kenya Under 17 women’s national football team, Junior Starlets, to book a chance in the upcoming Women Under 17 world cup that will take place in Dominican Republic from 16 October to 3 November 2024.To find a place in the world cup, the Kenyan side faces off with Burundi in a two leg fourth and final round where the winner will qualify for the World Cup.##NAJAVA_MECA_8148125##The first leg of the crucial match is set for Sunday 9 June as Burundi hosts Kenya at Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.The Junior Starlets qualified for this fourth round after eliminating Ethiopia by a 3-0 aggregate. They drew the first leg in Addis Ababa before putting three past Ethiopia on 19 May at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.Burundi on the other hand reached this stage in style after eliminating Djibouti 24-0 on aggregate and now find Kenya standing between them and the World Cup.Speaking after overseeing the Junior Starlets’ final training session at Kasarani Annex, coach Mildred Cheche said that her side is ready for the task.“We have prepared ourselves well and are going to the match full force.
