What the yellow ribbons mean at Memorial Tournament during Sunday’s ‘Play Yellow’ final round

DUBLIN, Ohio — Attendees to the 2024 Memorial Tournament will be seeing much more yellow heading into the final round at Muirfield Village Golf Club Sunday.

With Scottie Scheffler leading heading into the fourth round of the Memorial Tournament, many people will don a yellow ribbon to take part in the PGA Tour and Children’s Miracle Network campaign to raise $100 million for CMN hospitals including Nationwide Children’s Hospital over the next five years to fund pediatric care for millions of children.

Here is why many people will be wearing yellow at Muirfield Village Sunday.

The “Play Yellow” idea is inspired by Memorial Tournament founder Jack Nicklaus, who wore yellow shirts in the final round of tournaments, including the 1986 Masters he won.
