It’s a milestone year for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. 2024 marks the 10th edition of a revitalized major – formally known as the LPGA Championship – that pushed every other major in the women’s game to new heights.
Over the past nine years, the KPMG Women’s PGA has been contested at some of the game’s most recognizable and historic venues. And the purse has more than doubled in recent years, rising from $4.5 million in 2021 to $10 million last year at Baltusrol Golf Club.
The list of champions over the past nine years has been a who’s who of talent.
The 2024 rendition of the KPMG is slated for June 20-23 at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington, which also hosted this championship in 2016. Brooke Henderson, then 18, defeated a 19-year-old Lydia Ko in a playoff eight years ago at picturesque Sahalee on a day of riveting golf.
