Experienced Bandari FC left back Michael Sunday Apudo is pleased with his individual performance this season but believes his team would have performed better than they have up to this moment.Apudo has vast experience in the FKF Premier League having turned out for the defunct Sony Sugar, Posta Rangers, 21 league champions Gor Mahia and his current station, coastal side Bandari FC.Last season saw Apudo saw limited playing time due to a mixture of injuries and coach’s preferences where Amai Atariza and Mohammed Siraj were the main players preferred in full back positions.Otieno tips Muhoroni’s to survive relegation on final dayThis season, Apudo has seen much playing time that at least marks improvement at a personal level.“This season has been good to me. I have not had major injuries to worry about and I thank God for that. I have also seen much playing time which is important for any player and this has kept me happy and fulfilled. It has not been by fluke but by working hard to improve myself and impress the coach,” said Apudo. In as much as it has been a good season for Apudo, his team Bandari FC have not performed according to their expectation. While they aimed for the title, they were in contention until a series of poor results drifted them away.##NAJAVA_MECA_8173721##After winning their match against Gor Mahia on the 9 March, the dockers have not won any of their next nine league games, losing three and six of them ending in a stalemate. Apudo says that the win drought is just a rough patch in the team and nothing else“It is just a bad run that can happen to any other team in the course of the season. We are all disappointed but are together in trying to find a solution. We sometimes create chances that we fail to convert to goals then our opponents utilize theirs and the cycle has been long,” Apudo explained.Apudo and Bandari FC will be looking forward to a better next season where the can win the league but before then, they will be going all out in their season finale against Talanta FC as they try to end their winless streak.
