Mwendwa terms 2023-2024 FKFPL season as best in recent years

Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa has termed the concluded season as the best in the recent past.Mwendwa gave his assessment at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos after overseeing the presentation of the FKF Premier League trophy to winners, Gor Mahia who won it for a record twenty-one times and iced the cake with a 4-3 win over Bidco United.With the many stakeholders that have been on board and the increased number of teams with fans and in particular newbies Shabana FC and Murang’a Seals, Mwendwa was pleased with how the season folded##NAJAVA_MECA_8173396##“This season has been good. For the many years that we have been here, there has not been a season like this. It’s the first time in a long while doing a season like this with a good pay TV, title sponsor and others. I want to thank Azam TV and all other partners who have been on board and made all these possible,” said Mwendwa.While acknowledging the efforts made by individual teams, Mwendwa called on local fans to keep supporting their teams and turn out in large numbers physically to rally behind their teams.There is light at the end of Kenyan football tunnel, says McKinstry“It has been a good league because teams have increased their number of fans who come to the pitch. This season was good but I foresee an even better one next season and for that reason I want to encourage everyone to continue supporting their teams,” he stated.The move by the government to improve sporting infrastructure is a sign of good things to come according to the FKF boss.“More Stadiums are being built which will encourage fans to come out in large numbers.
