John Deere Classic 2024 odds, course history and picks to win

With the Scottish Open and The Open — the final men’s major championship of the year — on the horizon, the PGA Tour first heads to Silvis, Illinois, for the 2024 John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run, otherwise known as the fifth major.

Defending champion Sepp Straka is joined in the field by two-time winner Jordan Spieth (2013, 2015), Jason Day, Sungjae Im, Nick Dunlap, Denny McCarthy and Keith Mitchell. World No. 29 Im — T-3 at the Travelers Championship in his last start — is the betting favorite at 16/1.

Spieth, arguably the biggest name in the field, has struggled of late. The Texan’s last top-20 finish came at the Valero Texas Open (T-10), the week before the Masters.
