Kenya Under 23 head coach Ken Odhiambo has pleaded with the COSAFA tournament organisers to increase the number of players and officials permitted in a squad for future editions. Despite not being a member of COSAFA, Kenya earned a late invite to participate after Malawi pulled out of the tournament in the eleventh hour.COSAFA Cup: Kenya beat Zimbabwe but have to wait longer to find out semi finals fateKenya was taking part in COSAFA for the second time in their history after making their debut in the 2013 edition where they exited in the group stages.Odhiambo revealed some of the targets as Kenya headed into the tournament and also urged COSAFA to make a change on the squad number permitted. “When we came into this tournament, it was just to try and unearth new talents who will graduate to the senior team. I think I’m happy so far because we have seen some players performing well.##NAJAVA_MECA_8191715##“In this tournament, the organization is superb, there is nothing to complain about we just have to urge them to increase the number of guys coming because we needed 26 players and more officials,” said Odhiambo. According to the rules, a total number of 23 players are permitted by each participating nation after trimming down an initial 30-man provisional squad.
