Omollo yearning for FKF Premier League return after clinching NSL Golden Boot

The 2023-2024 National Super League (NSL) top scorer Henry Omollo is confident of gracing the top-flight next season. Omollo, who is attached to Nairobi United, finished as the best scorer in the second tier thanks to the 17 goals he managed in the concluded campaign. The forward was expected to be one of the most-sought after players after the conclusion of the campaign but shockingly, not a single call has been made let alone an offer from the top sides. ##NAJAVA_MECA_192008##Clubs plying their trade in the top tier have been literally scrambling for, the signatures of, the best scorers in the Super League in previous seasons but there appears to be a departure from the norm this year if Omollo’s case is anything to go by.He however holds on hope that his goal scoring prowess in the second tier will win him the return ticket to the top tier after failing to secure promotion with Nairobi United. The Naibois finished fourth in their debut season in the Super League, and are likely to lose their priced players as reports indicate that a handful are in search for opportunities in the top tier. Tyson Otieno credits brotherly support from Austin Odhiambo after family success with Police and Gor Mahia”I haven’t been contacted by a single club either in the top or second tier. I am however optimistic of playing in the FKFPL next season,” he revealed. Should his wishes come to pass, Omollo will return to the highest competition after more than two years in the cold. The former Delmonte FC forward left Bidco United in 2022 for Murang’a Seal, who back then were in the Super League. He helped Seal gain automatic promotion last year and was part of the Bidco squad that was promoted four years ago. Zakayo in hunt for new club after running out of contract at TuskerHe says he has unfinished business in the FKFPL having failed to make an impact in his first stint.”I feel I have achieved and tested myself enough in the second tier. I want to challenge myself at the top level again. My first spell wasn’t successful as anticipated but I feel I will be making a comeback a better, stronger and a lethal forward,” added the former Thika United striker.
