Long-serving Bandari winger Abdallah Hassan has formally announced his departure from the club after seven years of service. The wing-wizard was linked with an exit from the club at the start of the past season but elected to stay put to the final day of his contract with the club. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8191715##Until his departure, Hassan had risen to the rank of assistant captain at the club, deputising centre back Andrew Juma, who was handed the armband following the exit of Michael Wanyika. Hassan, took to his social media accounts to reveal that he had cut ties with the club, bringing to an end his stay at the outfit that thrust him and handed him the platform to showcase his talent. “Thank You to everybody at Bandari. From the fans to the back room staff and of course the players. I have not changed, my entourage has not changed. You may be angry, hate me but you can never stop me from loving you because the truth is there. I love you.Bandari Football Club is a great club.Thanks to you,” he wrote on his Facebook. Hassan joined Bandari in January 2017 from the Posta Rangers junior team where he was scouted while featuring for the U20 Kenyan Premier League. He won the Football Kenya Federation Cup, that is currently being sponsored by leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet in 2019 and was part of the squad that finished second in a regional tournament held the same year in Dar es Salaam. Having left the Bandari camp, Hassan is rumoured to be angling at a move to Tanzanian Premier League side Coastal Union. Burundian international keeper open to gracing Kenyan league againThe Tanga-based club has in the past shopped players from Bandari and it will not come as a suprise if Hassan joins the outfit. Former Bandari captain Felly Mulumba, goalkeeper Justin Ndikumana, centre back Sosthenes Idah are some of the players who left Bandari for Coastal Union. The two clubs have in the past played friendly matches at Mbaraki and Mkwakwani on a regular basis with the latest encounter being in July last year. Coastal Union are under the tutelage of Kenyan coach David Ouma and are preparing for return to the CAF Confederation Cup. The club secured the slot in the continental tournament by virtue of finishing fourth in the concluded season. Apart from Hassan, the club has been linked to FC Talanta winger December Mwakio Kisaka.
