Kariobangi Youth benefit from Victor Omune’s Mozzart Bet Cup humanitarian cheque

AFC Leopards attacker Victor Omune ensured that his time with Kariobangi Youth would not be easily forgotten by donating his Mozzart Bet Cup humanitarian cheque back to the club, in gratitude for their early support in his career as a young footballer.Omune, who joined Kariobangi Youth in 2008, having gone through the MYSA program, then moved to Kariobangi Sharks between 2008 and 2014, chose his youth team as part of giving back to a community that shaped his football career.Confirmed: Kenya U18 midfielder moves to CroatiaMozzart Bet Cup humanitarian cheque is awarded to the Man of the Match in the Mozzart Bet Cup games, Kenya’s domestic cup competition, with the winner using the Ksh 100,000 that comes with the award to support any charity of their choice.The Ingwe utility attacker was awarded the Man of the Match after starring in the Mozzart Bet Cup third-place playoff match against his former side, Sharks. Leopards won the match 2-1 with Omune and Randy Bakari on target.Omune heaped praises on Mozzart Bet for coming up with the initiative, which he noted will be instrumental in creating more opportunities for grassroots talents to train with decent equipment.“I am grateful to Mozzart Bet for this wonderful initiative that has allowed me to give back to my youth team. This will help the team, currently playing in the regional league, which is very advanced now, to train better,” offered Kadondi. “We now have equipment that will help us with agility training, which we need a lot to improve our game.
