After letting go of former head coach Robert Matano, Tusker FC are looking to hire a foreign coach as they are determined to change the fortunes of the club.Matano left the club this week following the expiry of his contract after a six year stay with the Brewers during which he won a league title with the other title being annulled.Harambee Stars motionless in the latest FIFA RankingsThe club according to sources is keen to hire a foreign coach who they believe will help them not only to be competitive locally but also to compete at the continental level.“The club has had a disappointing two seasons where they failed to win the league title and missed out on continental football despite the massive investment made by the sponsors. This is something that they want to change and are keen to bring in a foreign coach,” said our source.##NAJAVA_MECA_8215778##Despite their huge support from sponsors, the club has majorly worked with local coaches when they could easily afford to bring in a foreign coach.The 60-year-old took over from the now rested Ugandan tactician Sam Timbe back in 2018 for his second stint at the club.Okere steps in as Tusker FC interim coach following Matano’s departureIn his first stint back in 2012 before taking over, the club was handled by Francis Kimanzi who had been appointed in 2013.
