Mara Sugar FC midfielder David Owino Ouma believes they have what it takes to compete in the country’s top tier. Mara gained promotion to the FKFPL after a successful season in the National Super League (NSL), where they emerged as winners. Ouma, in an exclusive with Mozzart Sport, said they are not just coming to the league to be participants as he believes that their determination, will drive them to compete. “I believe that we have all that we need to compete in the FKF Premier League and challenge for titles. We have quality young players who are talented and willing to push through, “stated Ouma.“We know that the top tier is a different ball game and comes with different challenges and levels.We are all geared up for the challenge. There is great belief within the squad, led by the coach, that we will manage it,” he added.Ghanaian midfielder Enock Morrison on verge of joining Gor MahiaOn a personal front, Ouma hopes to stay injury-free in the new season, having been sideline for the better part of the last season that made it difficult for him to achieve his target of 10 goals in the season.“I did not achieve my season’s targets. I scored 4 goals instead of the 10 that I had set for myself as a midfielder.
