League-winning tactician Robert Matano has returned to the 2009 champions Sofapaka barely two days after parting ways with Tusker.Matano left Tusker earlier in the week, under unclear circumstances, bringing his six-year stint at the Ruaraka-based outfit to an end. Having won the league and finished in respectable positions in nearly all the seasons he was in charge at Tusker, Matano was expected to remain at the club. However, the two parties opted to part ways opening the door for the veteran coach to seek fresh challenges heading to the new season. With coaches required to produce CAF A badges to be allowed to man the touchline in the new season, Sofapaka moved in swiftly and captured Matano’s signature. ##NAJAVA_MECA_4831##Ezekiel Akwana, who helped Sofapaka retain their top flight status in the relegation/promotion playoff, couldn’t have led the club in the new season as the former international is yet to acquire his CAF A license.
