I think it’s just luck and coincidence but I always work hard and that is what I am currently doing at Police FC,” stated OnyangoThe forward started his top flight career at the now-defunct Sony Sugar FC just after completing his secondary education from Komolorume Secondary School in 2012.His performance at Sony Sugar FC attracted several clubs amongst them Ulinzi Stars who persuaded him to leave the Sugar Millers and join military training at the Recruits Training School (RTS) upon which he joined the Kenya Defense Forces after his pass out.##NAJAVA_MECA_8225560##Onyango then joined military side Ulinzi Stars in 2015 and hit the ground running. He was a lethal winger, tormenting defences and earned himself call ups to the national team.With his football star shining, Onyango felt that his engagement with the military was hindering his football ambitions and therefore decided to quit after three years in service.“I wanted to play professional football and wanted to even try out outside the country but that was not possible to do while serving in the military. Discipline is key on both sides and both demand one to handle themselves with honor and dignity. Respect and humility is also emphasised on both ends and so it’s just easy for me to fit in,” added Onyango.
