Former AFC Leopards goalkeeper Maxwell Muchesia Mulili has officially joined Shabana FC as part of their rebuilding efforts. Muchesia spent five years with AFC Leopards, primarily serving as an understudy goalkeeper. He is their second signing from AFC Leopards this transfer window, following Cliff Nyakeya who was unveiled three days earlier.The club statement reads, “From AFC Leopards SC, the negotiations were fruitful. Maxwell Muchiesa, a talented and experienced goalkeeper has penned the dotted line.”At Shabana FC, Muchesia will compete with Peter Odhiambo, the club’s first-choice goalkeeper last season. The club is also expected to recruit another goalkeeper following Ezekiel Owade’s suspension for double signing, which left them with only two goalkeepers for the latter part of the previous season.Additionally, Shabana FC has released eight players whose contracts expired and is in discussions with others who are not part of coach Sammy Omolo’s plans for a mutual termination.
