After appointing former German midfielder Nuri Sahin as the new coach, the Millionaires started to build the squad to his liking and today added the first midfielder to their squad. Pascal Gross (33) signed a deal until 2026 after the club agreed a fee of around 7 000 000 euros to Brighton. His qualities were recognized earlier, as the current Barcelona coach Hansi Flick noticed him when he was the Germany national coach. He made his debut for the senior national team last September in the last international match of the Hansi Flick era ( 1:4 against Japan ). He has now made eight appearances for the DFB – most recently as a substitute in the opening match of the EURO, where he did not play any more.
