Mulembe United have stepped up their pre-season activities ahead of the 2024–2025 National Super League (NSL).Mulembe narrowly avoided relegation last season after struggling for much of the campaign and needed significant changes during the mid-season transfer window to keep their chances alive in the second tier.The Edward Manoah-coached side finished 16th on the twenty-team table with 39 points from 38 games, five points above the relegation zone.##NAJAVA_MECA_8242014##The club’s Secretary General James Saisi says his team is ready to show their class in the NSL and avoid the struggles of the previous season.“NSL is the toughest league in the country, but we are preparing well. Last season was difficult for us, but the boys have promised to be at their best this season. “We are also trying to sign a few players to improve our squad in readiness for the start of the season. I believe by the time the league starts, we will be in a good position to compete and hopefully do better than last time,” said a confident Saisi.The club administrator adds that the team’s hard work, grit, and determination will help them have one of their most memorable campaigns.Musa Mohammed praises police FC as best-managed team in FKF Premier LeagueWhile acknowledging that they will have to work without some of the players from last season, Saisi says the team has been scouting top talents from the region.The talents will include those from the ongoing school games and local leagues, to blend with the remaining group and form a strong contingent for the season.“We have put up a plan and are bringing belief back to the players. With hard work and unity in the squad, we are going to achieve great things as a unit. “We are going to lose some players, but our scouts are working round the clock to get young players who will resonate with our demands.
