MCF’s new signing aiming to use experience in earning maiden Premier League promotion

Forward Mohammed Baraza has vowed to use his vast experience to propel National Super League (NSL) side Mully Children Family (MCF) to automatic promotion in the coming season.The seasoned striker boasts more than seven years of experience having previously featured for Mara Sugar, Palos FC, and Eldoret Youth in the second tier.Baraza left Mara a couple of weeks ago following the expiry of his contract with the 2024 NSL champions.He was part of the team that promoted the Millers to the Super League after joining them in 2019, where he was at one point made the team captain.Baraza became a household name in Narok for his goal-scoring abilities, netting more than 10 goals per season.Baraza yearning for playing time after overcoming injuryHowever, the just-concluded campaign had setbacks. The former Palos anchorman was restricted to less than 10 games due to a nagging injury picked up at the start of the season.With that now behind him and having sealed a move to MCF, the striker said he is banking on his experience with various teams in the second division to help MCF secure one of the two automatic promotion slots.MCF had a rough patch last campaign and had to rejig their squad to stay in the league.”I learned a lot in the past season with the various teams I have played for. The lessons will definitely play a crucial role in my career and in achieving the ambitions I have. One of my goals is to help MCF secure promotion next season,” he told Mozzart Sport.Before leaving Mara, Baraza was among the best players in the team for the 2021/2022 season, even though the season was eventually nullified.He says he is fired up for the new challenge and aims to be the club’s top scorer and the best in the competition, which is regarded as one of the toughest.”I want to score as much as I can for the club.
