KSSSA: Mwinamo hoping to quench Musingu High School nationals title thirst

When Musingu High School’s football team; Scorpions, stung Kakamega High School’s Green Commandos 2-1 in the Kakamega County Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Term Two opener, they sent one message to the football fraternity: They are ready for the national title.That was the beginning of their success. The Scorpions would then showcase their prowess by stinging Munyuki 2-1 in the regional finals to proceed to the nationals.The team, which is currently in Kisii, started their national title hunt with a 1-0 win over Machakos Boys. Since I have a passion for sports, I sat down with the principal, Benard Lukuya and we agreed to strengthen the technical bench and also recruit quality players straight from primary school,” the tactician offered.He started by assembling a talented group of players who were eager to succeed and instilling in them a winning mentality. His focus was on youth development and tactical prowess. Five years later, the school’s chances of clinching a coveted title are within reach.“We have assembled a talented group of players who are eager to succeed.
