Kenyan midfielder reveals differences between Kenyan and Tanzanian leagues

Dodoma Jiji midfielder Apollo Otieno has outlined the differences between the FKF Premier League and the Tanzania Premier League.Apollo crossed the border in the January transfer window and signed for Dodoma Jiji on a two-year deal from KCB FC.In an exclusive interview with Mozzart Sport, the former Sony Sugar midfielder, who is in Tanzania for pre-season with his club, revealed three key differences between the two competitions.##NAJAVA_MECA_8262758##“For me, there are maybe three or so main differences. The first is that the league in Tanzania is more broadcast than what happens back at home and then excited so much that then makes it sellable to the outside world,” stated Apollo.The former Tusker man was quick to note that most clubs in Tanzania own stadiums, unlike Kenyan ones.He said the quality of the playing surfaces in Tanzania was way better than what Kenyan players express their talents on.“Most clubs in the Tanzanian leagues also own their stadiums, compared to Kenya, where we mainly depend on government facilities. Their stadiums are also of better quality than ours, which also improves the quality of the game,” he opened up.Kakamega Homeboyz tie down key players with new contract extensionsFurther, the 27-year-old delved into the competitive nature of the two leagues.The defensive midfielder, without bias, termed the Tanzanian league more competitive than the Kenyan one.“The League in Tanzania is also more competitive than it is back home.
