Not again: Chelsea in for Osimhen but with a twist

Embrace yourselves for another Chelsea saga (as there were none so far): The Blues want to buy another striker and they are exploring options for Victor Osimhen. Despite the imminent arrival of attacking players Pedro Neto (for 54 million pounds) and Samu Omorodion (34 million), Chelsea owner continues to stack up players up front. Romelu Lukaku, Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu, Armando Broja, Ângelo, David Datro Fofana, Deivid Washington, Diego Moreira and Omari Kellyman are all registered as forwards, but two more are coming, and potentially Osimhen.🙋‍♂️Victor Osimhen has handed in a transfer request at Napoli – putting Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal on red alert.Osimhen has a release clause worth £113m in his contract with Napoli, who are resigned to losing the striker this summer. The 25-year-old was left out of Antonio Conte’s… pic.twitter.com/P2BJML9qRy— Jamie Dickenson (@jdickenson1990) August 11, 2024 But, according to the latest reports from England, this transfer won’t be a cash transfer, or Lukaku for Osimhen swoop, even thou the Belgian is keen on moving to Napoli. The Blues will try the unthinkable – to get the Nigerian on a loan. Napoli confirmed last night that Osimhen has asked to leave the club after he was left out of their Coppa Italia squad to face Modena.“Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go. The situation is clear; there were already chances for his exit last summer. Victor wants to leave. We will see in the next 20 days“ said director Giovanni Manna.Napoli to buy Lukaku despite Osimhen? The Neapolitans are in trouble to sell Osimhen since they announced that they are asking over 100 million for him. Seven days before the start of English, Italian, Spanish and French leagues, nobody wants to touch the Nigerian at that price range. PSG is waiting for the last days of the transfer window in order to cut down the price to around 80 million, while Chelsea also looks at it’s on tactics: a loan with obligation to buy. Chelsea’s spending has already exceeded 200 million pounds this June but they will offset that by offloading at least seven players either permanently or on loan, and Romelu Lukaku could be among them. But will their transfer tactic with Osimhen work is another thing.##NAJAVA_MECA_8261877##
