Bandari in desperate attempts to sign strikers after trio’s departure

Mombasa-based FKF Premier League side, Bandari FC, are looking to sign a striker before the transfer window closes on Monday evening.The Ken Odhiambo-led team is seeking to recruit at least one striker to fill the void left by three of their forwards who departed after the close of the 2023-24 season. The trio who exited are Umaru Kasumba, Derrick Nsibambi, and Francis Kahiro. Nsibambi has since joined KCCA of Uganda, while Kahiro has returned to his former club, KCB FC.##NAJAVA_MECA_8322979##“We lost Kasumba, Derrick, and Kahiro, and we now have to replace them before the window closes. The coach has given us some names, and we are doing our best to see what we can do before the transfer window closes. It’s a tight schedule, but we’ll do what we can before the end of tomorrow,” said club vice-chairman Twaha Mbarak to Mozzart Sport.FC Talanta striker Alfred Emoni has been training with the club for weeks now, but the two teams are yet to strike a deal. The club’s vice-chairman confirmed that Emoni is one of the forwards they are looking to sign before the window closes.“The coach likes him, and he is one of the players we are trying to bring in. FC Talanta asked for a fee, and we countered with our offer, but they have yet to respond. We should have a way forward by the end of Sunday. We are actively in the market and hope to recruit more players to strengthen the team before the transfer window closes. There are areas we need to bolster,” he added.So far, Bandari has signed Geoffrey Ojunga from Posta Rangers and Hamisi Boki from Kenya Navy FC.
