Nice to see Marseille being that powerful again

Roberto De Zerbi is definitely on the right track with Olympique Marseille. The former Brighton manager has seriously impacted OM since arriving a few months ago. The start of the Ligue 1 season proves he made all the right moves, as Marseille are sitting at the top of the table after opening four rounds with one draw and three victories. The latest one came on Saturday night, as they managed to top their neighbours, OGC Nice, at Velodrome 2-0.Marseille brought in 12 reinforcements during the recently ended transfer window, including Mason Greenwood and Neil Maupay.🏁 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 ✅Goals from Neal Maupay and Luis Henrique seal the three points in the Mediterranean Derby! 💥#OMOGCN | 2⃣ – 0⃣ | ⚪️🔵 pic.twitter.com/OybliTIH6z— Raghu (@IndiaTales7) September 14, 2024 The former Everton and Brentford forward had the ball in the net in the 36th minute, but it was rightfully disallowed due to an offside in the build-up. Maupay would get his goal just minutes later, getting on the end of Henrique’s deflected cross. Minutes after the break, Nice found themselves two goals down after a spectacular curling finish from Henrique. The visitors did try to bounce back, pushing for the comeback, especially after Marseille’s Cornelius was sent off for two yellow cards within ten minutes. However, the result stayed the same and OM grab the top, at least for a few hours as Paris Saint-Germain face Brest in the last game of the day.LIGUE 1 – MATCHDAY 4Friday Saint-Etienne – Lille 1-0 (1-0)/Cafaro 6/Saturday Olympique Marseille – Nice 2-0 (1-0)/Maupay 40, Henrique 53/Auxerre – Monaco IN PROGRESS22.00: (1.30) PSG (5.80) Brest (9.00)Sunday 16.00: (1.65) Rennes (3.80) Montpellier (5.40)18.00: (2.40) Nantes (3.45) Reims (3.15)18.00: (1.70) Strasbourg (3.60) Angers (5.30)18.00: (1.90) Toulouse (3.60) Le Havre (4.50)21.45: (1.90) Lens (3.70) Olympique Lyon (4.40)***odds are subject to change***
