Kenya’s Rising Stars head coach Salim Babu has revealed the working formula his side used to emerge victorious against hosts Tanzania in their AFCON U-20 CECAFA qualifier campaign.The first goal was scored by Albania-based midfielder Kevin Wangaya in the 23rd minute. Kariobangi Sharks’ midfielder Andreas Odhiambo added a second in the 66th minute before Rahim Shamore pulled one back in the 76th minute.Speaking to the press after his side’s 2-1 victory over Tanzania, Babu said that the formula he used to beat his opponents was taking a match at a time while also focusing on early goals by his side.FKF president Nick Mwendwa eyes controversial third term in office“I thank God that we started the game well in the first half and got a goal, which is what we were looking for. The game plan was to get early goals to reduce the pressure on us,” he stated.The former Sony Sugar coach also went ahead to disclose the reasons why the second half was a little more competitive from his side than the first half when they controlled proceedings.“The difference was because of long balls. In the second half, they played a lot of long balls which we found hard to deal with. Some of them got the opportunity after impressing in the CECAFA U-18 that was held in Kenya.
