Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa has revealed that more than 50 applicants have so far expressed interest in succeeding Robert Matano from the time news of his exit from the club broke.Reports of Matano ditching Sofapaka for Tanzanian Premier League side Coastal Union were widely shared in the course of the week, forcing Kalekwa to clear the air.Kalekwa revealed that the club had granted Matano permission to travel to Tanzania and negotiate a deal with Coastal Union contrary to what had been reported earlier.##NAJAVA_MECA_8405640##The club boss told Mozzart Sport that applications from local and foreign coaches began to trickle in after it emerged that Matano was in his final days at Sofapaka.“We have been receiving applications from all corners of the world from the time someone decided to spread rumours about Matano’s future at Sofapaka. We allowed him to try his luck in Tanzania but he has since returned.
