Ulinzi Stars striker Enosh Ochieng has explained the reasons behind his goal drought and limited playing time at the military side this season. The tried and tasted FKF Premier League striker has hardly had minutes with the Dunstan Nyaudo-coached side since his return from military training.##NAJAVA_MECA_8445273##Ochieng missed the major part of last season after pulling out of the team to attend a military advancement course and returned to the team in the off-season.He is one of the experienced players in the squad who were expected to guide the team to glory, but he has had his own struggles and is yet to find the back of the net.In an exclusive interview with Mozzart Sport, the former Muhoroni Youth striker attributed his struggles to a new technical bench.Boniface Muchiri excited by timing of Harambee Stars’ call up after three years out“It is also challenging because I came back and found a different technical bench which I have to adjust to, but the bottom-line is that they want goals. Once I keep scoring in training, I will get my fair share of minutes,” said Ochieng. The 2018 Golden Boot winner also said that he lost his touch during the long hiatus from active football, but says he is almost getting back to his best.“It is challenging because it is hard to be back and get your rhythm back. It takes time but I am almost there, very soon I’ll be back to my best form,” he added. Not only has Ochieng been out of form but also his team.Despite the struggles, he says the mood in camp has been good.Nyaudo weighs in on Ulinzi penalty drama, blames captain Boniface Muchiri“The team morale is okay. We are in high spirits despite struggling to get three points at the beginning of the season.”The 33-year-old is also confident of the strides that the team is making, noting that a win for the soldiers is on the corner.“The good thing is that we understand where we are and what steps we need to make to be where we want to be and I’m glad we are on the right track,” he concluded.Ulinzi Stars’ next match will be on Sunday, 27 October against Posta Rangers at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. All eyes on our next #FKFPL match on Sunday, Posta up next! ⚽️ 🆚 Posta Rangers FC 🏟 Machakos Stadium 📅 Sun 27 October ⏰ 4:00 PM📺 AZAM #GBUS pic.twitter.com/RWUNQ3NOHt— Ulinzi Stars FC (@UlinziStarsFC) October 25, 2024
