Referee Coote is not the only one who dislikes Klopp

Recent video footage of Premier League referee David Coote in which he calls former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp an ‘arrogant c**t‘ has caused quite a stir in England. The referee is currently suspended, pending an investigation, even thou the video was apparently recorded years ago. Coote was in charge of Liverpool – Aston Villa (2-0) gave over the weekend. After the match in 2020, Klopp publicly criticized Coote, who reportedly commented in the video that he disliked Klopp because “he lies,” along with a few expletives directed at the German manager. The witch hunt on Coote is in his full swing, and there are some loud thought that he shouldn‘t be allowed to referee ever again. Still, there are a few of his colleagues out there who could agree with Coote, but maybe not in this kind of language.’Klopp is an arrogant c**t!’One of the most popular former judges Mark Clattenburg called the German a ‘brilliant manager but a sour loser‘ in his memoir ‘Whistle Blower‘. He wrote about one of those situations, when Klopp arrived in the Anfield officials’ dressing room with Jordan Henderson before a match against Chelsea in January 2017 and staring Clattenburg down for 30 seconds.“It was bizarre. I just stared back. I could see Jordan was a bit, like, “What the hell’s going on here?” Did Klopp think I was stupid? I was not going to be bullied“ he wrote.Ex-Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg calls Jurgen Klopp ‘a hypocrite’ and accuses him of trying to influence referees 😯 pic.twitter.com/tWpTzEGDiQ— GOAL (@goal) January 14, 2021 The other (more recent) memory of Klopp‘s dealings with the referee was his behaviors towards Paul Tierney to whom he said: ‘I have no problems with any referees — only you’ after the games, and the TV camera‘s picked it up. So, why would any of those referees feel anything cute towards the German? Off course, the ‘godfather‘ of those kind of behavior is certainly Sir Alex Ferguson. Now he is old and out of job and he is all smiles and funny stories, but back in the days, he was ‘intimidating‘, as Clattenburg publicly admitted. He called Alan Wiley overweight, Martin Atkinson biased, scrutinized his wristwatch and jumped up and down on the touchline. But still, Clattenburg admits that he actually came to like Ferguson far more than Klopp, because the Scot had the grace to repent when his shouting was done. So, don‘t be too harsh on Coote.UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE – GROUP STAGEDivision AThursday 22.45: (2.50) Belgium (3.45) Italy (3.00)22.45: (1.13) France (9.00) Israel (17.0)Friday 22.45: (4.70) Denmark (3.50) Spain (1.80)22.45: (1.27) Portugal (5.90) Poland (10.5)22.45: (3.40) Scotland (3.40) Croatia (2.15)22.45: (1.85) Switzerland (3.60) Serbia (4.80)Saturday 22.45: (1.15) Germany (8.00) B&H (16.0)22.45: (1.40) Netherlands (4.70) Hungary (8.00)Sunday 22.45: (3.40) Italy (3.35) France (2.30)
