‘I love Trump’: Charley Hull wishes Donald Trump was her Prime Minister

NAPLES, Fla. — When Charley Hull broke out into a Trump Dance Sunday during the final round of The Annika, she was paying tribute to a man she calls “brilliant” and a “legend.”

The English golfer was playing with Nelly Korda when she mentioned to the eventual winner, “I love it when he does his little dance,” she said about president-elect Donald Trump.

So she followed a host of sports stars who are mimicking the dance Trump busted out during rallies.

“I love Trump. I think he’s brilliant,” Hull said Thursday after shooting a 73 in the first round of the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon.

“I like how he just says things, he doesn’t care what people think and he’s straight to the point.”

Hull, 28, would like Trump to run her country.

“I wish he was head of the U.K.,” she said. “I just like him as a person. He’s a little better than our Prime Minister.”

Trump, who lives in Palm Beach, is an avid golfer and golf fan. He has played with several professionals, including Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Lexi Thompson, all of who live in the area, and Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Bryson DeChambeau.

Most of those matches were at one of his two courses in Palm Beach County: Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach and Trump National Golf Club Jupiter.

Hull, who is ranked No. 11 in world, has never teed it up with the former and future president.

“That would be cool,” she said. “I think he’s legend.”
