Details of AIK director and Swedish agent’s scouting trip to Kariobangi Sharks

Renowned football agent Patrick Mörk could well be making another big acquisition from Kenya following his latest visit to the country last week.In an Instagram post on Sunday 24 November, the FIFA-licenced star agent of Global Soccer Management announced that he was ending a “great scouting trip” in Kenya, which Mozzart Sport has confirmed involved significant attention on FKF Premier League club Kariobangi Sharks. In a now familiar sight – and not the first foray in the country – Mörk was accompanied by Swedish club AIK Sporting Director Thomas Berntsen and football agent Jamal Ibrahim of Atotos Sports Management.“Thanks to top talent-producing club FC Kariobangi Sharks for arrangements and hospitality,” Mörk added in his post, making no secrets about his intended targets. His agency has a number of top players in their ranks including Newcastle United’s Emil Krafth and the Kenyan duo of Stanley Wilson and Timothy Ouma.As per Sharks Chairman Robert Maoga, Mörk’s visit was in line with the club’s aspiration to keep churning out talents in the outside world, but for confidentiality purposes, could not reveal which players were on the transfer pipeline.##NAJAVA_MECA_8519606##He said: “Mork is a friend and a big part of our club. Over the last few years, we have fostered a great relationship with him, and a couple of other agents, where we either provide them with videos of our promising players or invite them here to have a look.”The step, which has seen the club make profits from player sales, has as per Maoga, shifted their mode of operation to favour signing of “young players of the right age.”“What we have realized over the last three-four years is to get players of the right age,” he said, referencing Stanley Wilson’s Ksh25,800,000 move to AIK in August aged 18.“Our priority is to acquire them young, probably 16 or 17, so that we can get some years to train, mould, then move on to the European leagues at a valuable price.”The millions Kariobangi Sharks will get from Stanley Wilson’s transfer to SwedenHaving admittedly been present at “a number” of league games – including last Friday’s double-header at Dandora Stadium – a name, or two, could join the umbrella of Wilson, Henry Meja, Timothy ‘Babu’ Ouma, and Collins Sichenje in the international market.“Having done one major transfer this year, there could be room for even two next year,” Maoga said.
