Lampard‘s last chance to make a coaching career

Frank Lampard is surely among top 10 England midfielders in the last 20 years. But since finishing his successful career, former West Ham and Chelsea player failed miserably as a coach, as he failed to make a mark in all the club he managed so far. His first job was in Derby County in 2018 and after one season, he recorded 26 wins and 16 losses. He took over his beloved Chelsea in July 2019 and was sacked in January 2021 with a 44/25 record. Everton than took a chance on him, but after 24 defeats in one year, he was also sacked. The Blues were desperate when they sacked Graham Potter and appointed Lampard as the caretaker manager in April 2023, but this time they didn‘t used him as a permanent solution, especially after he managed eight defeats in 11 games. But now, he finally found a job.A new chapter in Coventry.Welcome, Frank. 🩵 pic.twitter.com/YIhy3cRjb9— Coventry City (@Coventry_City) November 28, 2024 Frank Lampard was appointed manager of Championship side Coventry City on Thursday as the former England midfielder aims to rebuild his coaching career. I grew up in eras where Coventry have been very successful. To be given the role of head coach is a huge deal for me, to come in and try and help with the good work and foundations I think have already been laid at the club. It’s an ambitious club that wants to move forward and I want to help as much as I can” said Lampard after appointment. Why Lampard avoided Ronaldo on holidayChelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer, Lampard has so far failed to match his glorious playing career since moving into management.
