On Friday night, Barcelona made a gala celebration for its 125th birthday. Everyone was invited, from the current team to the former coaches and players. Some managed to come (Xavi, Pique, Koeman), some couldn’t be there but sent video messages. But it seems that one man ’stole’ the show. Former coach and player Pep Guardiola couldn’t come due to his obligations to Manchester City, but left a video note, and it was certainly not the regular one. The Spanish tactician decided to – sing.🚨 Pep Guardiola singing: pic.twitter.com/iVITW5Ipx2— Reshad Rahman (@ReshadFCB) November 29, 2024 Guardiola decided not to talk about the club, or his best years or trophies but to sing the song ‘Aniversari’ by Catalan band Manel. The surreal performance lasted just over a minute and was met with rapturous applause by all in the grand auditorium. The song holds special significance for Guardiola, as it is reportedly one of his personal favourites but his way of singing provoked funny social media posts from the fans, who joked he was forced to do it. The video song was recorded recently, as he has the scars on his nose, which he ’created’ during the frustrating draw with Feyenoord in the Champions League. Guardiola’s appearance comes amid the worst run of his career. That it amounts to only six games it a testament to his incredible resume. The former Barcelona and Bayer Munich boss is searching for his first win in more than a month and he will have to do it the hard way – against Liverpool at Anfield.Lewa scored against all La Liga clubs….apart from this oneThere were additional video clips at the ceremony from Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and Romario. President Juan Laporta held a completely improvised speech, mostly in Catalan, and which he also cut up into Spanish and English, emphasizing the global nature of the club from his feeling of belonging to Catalonia. He was carried away by emotion and could not hold back his tears.LA LIGA – MATCHDAY 15Friday Mallorca – Valencia 2-1 (1-1)/Larin 45+3, Prats 81 – Rioja 32 pen/Saturday16.00: (1.17) Barcelona (8.00) Las Palmas (14.0)18.15: (1.85) Alaves (3.50) Leganes (5.10)20.30: (3.30) Espanyol (3.45) Celta (2.30)23.00: (6.30) Valladolid (4.05) Atl.Madrid (1.55)Sunday 16.00: (1.95) Villareal (3.60) Girona (4.20)18.15: (1.40) Real Madrid (4.40) Getafe (9.00)20.30: (2.90) Rayo Vallecano (3.00) Ath.Bilbao (2.70)23.00: (1.80) Sociedad (3.60) Betis (5.10)Monday 23.00: (2.15) Sevilla (3.30) Osasuna (3.50)***odds are subject to change***
