Hojlund admits Amorim‘s tactics are ‘a lot to take in‘

Ruben Amorim arrived and showed everyone that he can win at Manchester United. The problem is, anyone can win with the Red Devils (Ten Hag even won two cups), but it has to be on a regular bases, and the Portuguese coach has two defeats already. One was surely expected (Arsenal) and even the most loyal followers had to expect that, but it seems that Nottingham Forest was seen as an opponent who is not really that good and could have been defeated at Old Trafford. But the rude awakening followed and Manchester ended up like league leaders Liverpool – defeated at home against Nuno Espirito Santo‘s men. So, Amorim is speaking like his predecessor, asking for more time and to ‘trust the process‘, while his players are admitting that there more to learn from his tactics in a short period of time.United sack sporting director after just five months! After the defeat, Rasmus Hojlund explained this in more detail.“Annoying goals of course, we need to do better, specifically on corners, we’ve conceded too much now but I’m sure we’ll improve. I think it’s more about us being in a new position, new ideas, new set-piece coach, but we need to understand his ideas. It’s a lot to take in but we need to deal with it, we are Manchester United and we need to do better. There’s a lot of games left but it’s not an ideal situation, but we need to try and stay positive“ said the Dane.Bad day at the office for Onana and awful corner defending kill Amorim’s UnitedHis coach was more in a ‘trust the process‘ mood and wanted more time to get things right.“It will be a long journey but we want to win because this is a massive club. You feel it, when you lose one game it’s really hard for everybody. I can understand that. I can feel it in the stadium after the first goal. We understand the context but we have to keep in the same way, doing the same things. Focus on the performance. I had this and worse in Sporting in the beginning. I had this period at Sporting and if you are a little experienced in football this happens with a lot of clubs and we have to manage to continue to do the same things and improve the team because this will turn around“ said Amorim.ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE – MATCHDAY 15Saturday Everton – Liverpool POSTPONEDAston Villa – Southampton 1-0 (1-0)/Duran 24/Brentford – Newcastle 4-2 (2-2)/Mbeumo 8, Wissa 28, Collins 56, Schade 90 – Isak 11, Barnes 32/Crystal Palace – Manchester City 2-2 (1-1)/Munoz 4, Lacroix 56 – Haaland 30, Lewis 68/Manchester United – Nott.
