The Croatian lower-league side NK Jadran-Galeb (literally translated as Adriatic-Seagull) was founded back in 2001 when Jadran from the village Kuzminec and Galeb from the village Koledinec merged into one club. It is unknown who came up with completely illogical names or who proposed the copying of Brighton, but that idea could have dearly cost the Croatian minnows.
