Victor Wanyama, MacDonald Mariga’s touching gesture to ailing volleyball queen Janet Wanja

FKF Vice President MacDonald Mariga, former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama, and former Kenya head coach Francis Kimanzi were among the football stakeholders who visited the family of volleyball legend Janet Wanja on Monday night.Wanja was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer a few months ago, shortly after returning from the Paris Olympics, where she served as a trainer for the Malkia Strikers.##NAJAVA_MECA_8593739##Wanja, who had been active in public and on social media, was out of the spotlight for months before her family confirmed her illness. Her brother, Kevin Kimani, a Mathare United midfielder, released a statement updating the public about her condition.”Wanja, who was the Malkia Strikers trainer at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, has been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in Nairobi,” Kimani said.He further asked for emotional support and prayers as the family navigates the difficult time. “On behalf of the family, we kindly request your emotional support during this challenging period, and we continue to pray for her quick recovery.
