The AFC Leopards U45 Unit Branch has announced a number of key objectives it hopes to achieve in a busy 2025, mainly built around building strategic partnerships, enhancing its support for youth development, and strengthening its fan base.To kickstart plans for the year, the Branch is set to hold a consultative meeting in Nairobi this weekend, expected to focus on key areas, as well as finalize preparations for the club’s second annual Gala Award Ceremony bookmarked for June.AFC Leopards goalkeeper promises to deliver more after making long-awaited club debutAlso ahead of an electioneering year, Branch Chairman Olympia Musonye insists that “having as many fans as possible allowed to vote when the time comes.”“This year, we want to focus more on making AFC Leopards great again and that means we have to take the lead as a branch,” Musonye stated. “We want to direct our efforts in making sure that the brand grows and fans enjoy everything happening around them.”Having successfully held a successful gala last year, the branch plans to make it bigger, by taking it outside Nairobi and have the fans from Western Kenya have an opportunity to interact with the team just before the start of next season.##NAJAVA_MECA_8657267##“We are planning to have our gala in Western Kenya, probably Kakamega in June, this is in line with our vision of connecting with the wider fanbase,” he added, saying that the branch had been contacted by several corporates and a big international investor who want to be part of it.The branch also seeks to place its focus on the AFC Leopards Youth team.“The AFC Leopards Youth team has been undergoing a lot of issues including dishing out walkovers last season, and players lacking proper preparations for matches,” Musonye said. “The U45 Unit Branch will ensure that the team prepares for matches smoothly and we will support them just as we did last year.”Former Gor Mahia forward Benson Omala axed from Al Safa squadThese areas, as per the branch, will play a significant role in strengthening itself, and the larger AFC Leopards community.”2025 is set to be a pivotal year for both the U45 Unit and AFC Leopards as a whole.
