Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board has issued a seven-day notice to the country’s football governing body to clear their dues or face legal action.The board through their lawyers on Tuesday issued a demand notice to clear pay of Ksh600,440 owed to them for carrying out last year’s elections.Kenyan midfielder moves to Czech Republic in a multi-million deal“We act for the members of the Electoral Board Secretariat, on whose instructions we write and address you as hereunder,” says part of the letter addressed to FKF Chief Executive Officer Patrick Korir.It adds: “Our clients served the Federation as members of its Electoral Board Secretariat during the just concluded elections. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8667389##“In execution of the assignment, our clients dedicated their time, energy, skills and expertise; sometimes working extended hours or even during the holidays so as to deliver a free and fair election.“Furthermore, our client’s contract was extended up to the 13th December 2024 when the exercise was finally concluded.Gor Mahia closing in on Ugandan striker“In that regard, and pursuant to the agreement between our clients and yourselves, our clients were to be compensated for the extended working hours/overtime, and transport allowance.”The letter reveals that each of the staff members were to be paid Ksh8,307 for working overtime totalling Ksh44,417.##NAJAVA_MECA_8667434##It further adds that another Ksh22,720 was to be paid to the staff members for working during the October 10 holidays. They were also entitled to Ksh10,000 transport allowance per month which they were paid only once.“In summary, the Federation owes each of our clients Ksh120,088 for the five of them.
