Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has admitted that he failed to get his tactics spot on during their match against Bidco United.Sharks welcomed Bidco in an FKF Premier League match on Sunday 26, January at Dandora Stadium, which ended in a 1-1 draw.##NAJAVA_MECA_8658075##Kenya U-20 midfielder Andreas Odhiambo found the back of the net for Sharks in the 12th minute after a wonderful build-up from open play, but Jacob Onyango equalized for Bidco in the 81st minute.Speaking after the match, Muluya admitted that his tactics failed, shouldering blame from the players. “Tactically, I got it wrong. Sometimes, it is good to admit. It is not always the players’ fault because for them to press high, they need instructions from the coach. We did not press high. I think we allowed them more space to come into our half. They had more strength while we did not have the power to punch,” said Muluya.’My training has not been smooth’ Marathon record holder Ruth Chepng’etich ahead of London MarathonThe former Harambee Stars assistant coach said that the decision by his Bidco United counterpart Anthony Akuhulia to push his full-backs higher up the pitch and have the centre-backs stepping into midfield proved difficult for his side to handle.“Sometimes it goes back to coaching. We need to analyze if the structure was okay for us to contain them. They had several players up. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8667383##Thomas (Wainaina) was up, Ikutwa (Eugene) was up, and so they had the numbers and the majority. Kalama (David) and Musamali (Kevin), who played as centre-backs, were also serving as midfielders,” he explained. For these reasons, Muluya knew it was only a matter of time before Bidco United found an equalizer and possibly a winner.“I think we were hanging in there, we survived. To be honest, Bidco deserved more in the second half.”Basketball: Blades treading carefully in race for podium placeThe result extended Sharks’ winless run to six games, and have secured just one win in their last 14 matches. Muluya attributed the poor form to a blunt attack.“We scored from a set piece. Again, it’s a midfielder who scored. We are still playing without our main attackers, but I cannot keep blaming their unavailability. The issue is we will continue accumulating just one point rather than three until we can score more,” he remarked.Up next for Sharks is a trip to Kisii to face high-flying Shabana FC on Sunday 2 February, at Gusii Stadium.Gor Mahia closing in on Ugandan striker
