Niko Kovač was promoted as new Borussia Dortmund coach but interim manager Mike Tullberg (current U19 boss) was in charge today for the last time and he finally managed to guide his team to a win away from Dortmund. Until Sahin was sacked, BVB only had one away win in Bundesliga and finally today they managed only the second win of the season against Heidenheim 1-2. Bayern was a firm favorite against relegation strugglers Kiel and had a comfortable 4-0 win half time before the end but allowed three goals and nearly gave away two points: 4-3. ⚽️ GOAL: Serhou Guirassy🇩🇪 Heidenheim 0-1 Borussia Dortmundpic.twitter.com/2Q9zniBA6T— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 ⚽️ GOAL: Maximilian Beier🇩🇪 Heidenheim 0-2 Borussia Dortmundpic.twitter.com/JuEsiplaji— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 Heidenheim is paying the price of playing in Europe with a small squad and even smaller budget. The biggest surprise in last season’s Bundesliga is stretched this season and it’s taking it’s tool as they recorded only one win in the last 15 league games including today. So even a mentally shaken Dortmund had a chance and they used it. Dortmund provided a controlled and confident first-half performance which was crowned by Serhou Guirassy’s fine strike for the lead. The African striker has continued his fine scoring streak by netting in his fourth consecutive competitive match, before German international Maximilian Beier added another one, which could have ended the game right there. But the hosts scored a goal of hope just a minute late, but this time BVB avoided last minute drama end recorded much needed three points.⚽️ GOAL: Gnabry🇩🇪 Bayern München 4-0 Holstein Kielpic.twitter.com/Nv19tczW0n— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 ⚽️ GOAL: Harry Kane (2)🇩🇪 Bayern München 3-0 Holstein Kielpic.twitter.com/myNY5BlS4h— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 There was a late drama in other stadiums in Bundesliga too, but the one which surprised everything was Allianz Arena. The current league leader Bayern Munich was playing against 17th placed Kiel and had a secure 4-0 lead in the 54th minute but the game turned into a last minute drama when the guests scored their third goal in the 93rd minute. Goals from Jamal Musiala (19’) and Harry Kane (45+2’) gave Bayern a comfortable lead at halftime, with Kingsley Coman playing a crucial role in both strikes. He won the ball in midfield to start the attack for the opener and then provided a perfect assist for Kane, who only had to nod it home. The English striker struck again just after the break (46’), this time assisted by Raphaël Guerreiro, though Coman once again played a key role by winning possession high up the pitch.⚽️ GOAL: Skrzybski 🇩🇪 Bayern München 4-2 Holstein Kielpic.twitter.com/Fu45XclUjj— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 ⚽️ GOAL: Skrzybski (2)🇩🇪 Bayern München 4-3 Holstein Kielpic.twitter.com/7wNQEMNPEH— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 1, 2025 Serge Gnabry made it 4-0 in the 54th minute after replacing Olise at halftime, and at that point, it seemed like Bayern were on course for another routine blowout. By halftime, they had already registered 12 shots and controlled 78% of possession, finishing the match with a staggering 29 attempts on goal. However, Kiel refused to go down without a fight. Marcel Rapp’s side took advantage of Bayern’s early complacency and found the net three times late in the game. Finn Porath struck first in the 62nd minute, before substitute Steven Skrzybski scored twice in stoppage time, giving the underdogs a respectable scoreline in what had initially seemed like a complete mismatch.BUNDESLIGA – MATCHDAY 20Friday Werder – Mainz 1-0 (1-0)/Bittencourt 14/Saturday Bayern – Holstein Kiel 4-3 (2-0)/Musiala 19, Kane 45+2, 46, Gnabry 54 – Porath 62, Skryzubski 90+1, 90+3/Bochum – Freiburg 0-1 (0-1)/Sildilla 34/Heidenheim – Dortmund 1-2 (0-1)/Honsak 64 – Guirassy 33, Beier 63/St.Pauli – Augsburg 1-1 (1-0)/Banks 17(og – Komur 83/Stuttgart – M’ gladbach 1-2 (0-1)/Elvedi 49(og) – Ngoumou 25, Kleindierst 82/20.30: (3.10) Union Berlin (3.40) RB Leipzig (2.30)Sunday 17.30: (1.95) Eintr.Frankfurt (4.00) Wolfsburg (3.75)19.30: (1.23) Leverkusen (6.50) Hoffenheim (12.0)***odds are subject to change***
