Gor Mahia midfielder Enoch Morrison has cited lack of a passport and being out of the country as reasons for his absence in last weekend’s barren draw against Tusker. The record league champions were forced to do without the services of the influential midfielder against Tusker in a league match played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. The absence of Morrison, who had been playing in advanced position in recent weeks, was glaring as Gor struggled to create anything meaningful and ultimately, settled for a point. Tusker, Gor unable to make statement in drab affairThe Ghanaian midfielder, in an exclusive interview with Mozzart Sport, revealed that he jetted out of the country on 8 February to replace his lost passport. The left-footed player disclosed that he misplaced the document shortly after flying from Siaya, where the club played Ugandan Premier League side Kitara FC, during the inauguration of the Siaya Stadium on 2 January. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8713193##He said the Ghana High Commission to Kenya granted him an Emergency Travel Certificate to Accra to replace the document after efforts to have it done in Nairobi flopped. “I had wished to be available in our match against Tusker, but unfortunately, I am not in Nairobi. I flew to Ghana after our match against Mathare at Dandora Stadium. I had been advised to fly home and get a new passport after misplacing the one I had.
