David Moyes said Manchester United must improve in a number of areas, including passing, creating chances and defending. And looking at today‘s gam with Everton, every Red Devil should agreed with those remarks. But the bigger problem with United is that these remarks were given by Moyes 11 years ago, when he was Manchester‘s coach! Still, somehow, in Everton‘s dark hour, the totally dismantled United managed to score two goals from eight minutes and secure an unlikely draw: Everton – Manchester United 2-2. This will be a big night to be sorry if you are the Toffies fans, as David Moyes missed a golden opportunity to use United‘s terrible form and finally recorded a win. Everton was far better for 70 minutes and was leading 2-0 since 33th minute, but allowed the Red Devils to score two goals in the eight minutes and secure a point. What‘s even worse for Everton fans to swallow was the fact that those two goals (72nd and 80th minute) were the first two shot on target for the guests, which show you how bad they were.Look at that beto goal, The players can’t even clear the ball.pic.twitter.com/63kGrdBDTh— Bloke (@UtdBloke_) February 22, 2025 ⚽️ GOAL: Doucouré🏴 Everton 2-0 Manchester Unitedpic.twitter.com/kpvgyTq8Nz— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) February 22, 2025 In-form Everton has been another team since David Moyes came and United was quite the opposite since Ruben Amorim arrived. And after 30 minutes of game it was already 2-0 for the hosts thank to an African duo Abdoulaye Doucoure and Beto. First it was Guinea-Bissau player who managed to use a defensive ping-pong in the penalty area and opened the scoring. While minutes later, Mali international Doucoure, who assisted Beto with the first goal managed to sneak in between Onana and unconcentrated Maguire and increase the lead. And the result stayed like that until the 72nd minute, without any major chances for both teams.🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨PENALTY TO EVERTON IN THE 93RD MINUTE! Disaster from Maguire and De ligt 🤯 pic.twitter.com/g2OidZonb0— Goals Catcus Jack (@KatcusJack) February 22, 2025 And then Bruno Fernandes managed to score from a free kick, as the United‘s captain tricked Pickford, who whould have done better. Suddently, insecurity creeped in and Everton players allowed the guests to take the inititive. Eigth minutes later, Ugarte ran to an deflected ball with a volley and unmarked, managed to equalize. Everton‘s last chance to win anyway came in injury time when Ashley Young was brought down in the penalty area but the referee overturned his own decision after an intervention from the VAR room. Certainly debatable decision, but Amorim won‘t care, he managed to pull off a point from Goodison Park.🚨🏴 GOAL | Everton 2-1 Manchester United | Bruno FernandesBRUNO FERNANDES PULLS ONE BACK FOR MANCHESTER UNITED !!!!!!!!pic.twitter.com/sCO5yryUoN— Tekkers Foot (@tekkersfoot) February 22, 2025 MANUEL UGARTE WHAT A HIT THAT IS FOR HIS FIRST GOAL AT MANCHESTER UNITED. 2-2 OUT OF NOWHERE.
