Gor Mahia clear air on return of Benson Omala

Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have dismissed reports suggesting that the club will not field their striker, Benson Omala, until the reported transfer technicalities surrounding his move are resolved. Gor secured Omala’s signature in the final hours of the mid-season transfer window, that closed on Friday night, from Lebanese side Al Safa Sporting. However, reports emerged on social media that the deal had not been sealed due to hitches encountered in securing his International Transfer Certificate (ITC). ##NAJAVA_MECA_8745662##Club vice chairman Francis Wasuna has cleared the air on the transfer after he revealed that Omala availed his ITC and release letter before putting pen to paper. Wasuna said Omala, who is expected to contest for playing time in the next assignment against Kariobangi Sharks, signed a deal that will keep at the club to the end of the season. “We managed to register him after he produced all the documents that are required for an international transfer to go through.
