Gor Mahia captain Philemon Otieno has shared the role of the team’s senior players in their quest to defend the league title.After winning the league last season and competing in the CAF Champions League, K’Ogalo were considered by many pundits as favorites to win this season with their demanding fans also expecting nothing short of a league title.However, the club has struggled to be consistent this season and find themselves third in the league table and behind Kenya Police and Tusker.##NAJAVA_MECA_8763447##In an interview with Mozzart Sport, Otieno discussed the role of senior players in the squad to ensure the club wins what would be their 22nd league title.“Together with a few other senior players, we are just encouraging the young lads to maintain focus, work hard and give their all to ensure that we retain the title,” said Otieno.Otieno disclosed that the game plan to defend the title remains the same and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to achieve that.“We are not doing anything different. We are taking one game at a time. We had our targets at the start of the season and so far we are on course to achieve that.
