Hope as renovation works at Joe Kadenge Stadium nears completion

Nairobi County is making strides in the renovation of Joe Kadenge Stadium, formerly known as City Stadium.Once the proud home of FKF Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia, the stadium had deteriorated over the years, rendering it unfit for hosting matches. Its AstroTurf was removed and left neglected, leaving local teams without a reliable venue. However, fresh hope is now emerging as the county government nears the final stages of its long-overdue facelift.##NAJAVA_MECA_8793511##Brian Mulama, Nairobi’s County Executive Committee Member for Sports, noted the significance of the project, saying that the upgraded facility will not only serve Nairobi residents but also benefit the nation’s football landscape.“The new turf, imported from Holland, is being installed by professionals.
