AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda and his Murang’a Seal counterpart Robert Macharia have been asked by FKF branch chairmen to cease interfering with the running of regional leagues in their respective positions as National Executive Committee (NEC) members or face dismissal.The two, who are NEC members for Nairobi and Central regions, respectively, have been accused of continuously engaging in the running of the regional and Division 2 leagues while sidelining their respective branches—actions that go against the FKF constitution and the June 2021 NEC resolutions.##NAJAVA_MECA_8831572##An FKF chairman’s caucus held in Nakuru last week noted that both Shikanda and Macharia had barred their respective branches from sitting and forming standing committees and were not recorded as signatories of the bank accounts managed by the two NEC members.In addition, the committee noted that the duo had established a secretariat and an appointment committee through which they were participating in the day-to-day operations of the respective leagues.Gor Mahia head coach reveals ‘suspicion’ against Kenyan referees after red card“All these actions have been in contradiction of the FKF constitution and the NEC resolutions communicated vide the circular dated 23rd June 2021,” the 24 FKF chairmen present noted in their report.“These illegitimate characters and actions put the teams at a risk of nullification of the leagues, as happened during the caretaker committee’s period, where we saw teams like Murangá Seal, Fortune Sacco, APS Bomet, and others incur expansive losses.
