The French international is playing in form of his life and tonight, he scored the only goal due to his quality while keeping his record of a goal-per-game in 2025 at the same time. Incredible to think that his best for a campaign prior to this was 14 for Barcelona back in 2018/19. He has 33 goals in 2024/25. He didn‘t disappoint tonight either and made two fantastic saves to deny the Gunners of even scoring and equalizer. And finally, the Parisians have much more quality in their team, and what‘s equallly important, they are all healthy. Luis Enrique even had the audacity to field the PSG team that lost 3-1 to Nice in Ligue 1 on Friday and still win in North London. Players like Barcola and Ramos were on the bench, while Mikel Arteta had only Nwaneri and Sterling as the attacking options. His first substitution? White for Timber in the 81st minute. It feels like that players like Havertz or Jesus could have created some sort ot chances or goals if they were available. And then, finally, at the end of the first half, the home team finally had a proper chance, in fact two of them. In the first one, it was Saka on the left with a great cross, but Martinelli was inches away from tapping the ball into an empty net. Four minutes later, the Brazilian was again the main actor, and this time he was in front of the goal with a powerful shot from the left, but Donnarumma was there to save it. The Gunners continued with an offensive initiative at the start of the second half as well and Merino even scored, but VAR rulled that it was an offside. And then PSG keeper made another excellent save, even tougher than the first one, this time after Trossard‘s shot. The guests made their first opportunity in the 77th minute, when Joao Neves finally got an open space to shoot, but his ball went over the bar. Barcola came instead of Dembele and could have secured the win, but his shot in the 84th minute went so near the post. Just two minutes later Ramos had even better opportunity, but his skilled shot ended at the crossbar.
