African star in negotiations with Arsenal

At the end of this window, the situation at Arsenal could be like this: One African out, one in. After a surprise transfer of Brentford captain Christian Norgaard, the Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey will most likely leave the club on June 30th, when his contract expires. But, another African, this time from Nigeria might arrive. Ademola Lookman is again being checked by Arsenal, as the Gunners are looking for a proper striker and a wide attacker. The reports from Italy are saying that the North London club has again activated negotiations for the player, whose asking price could be around 50 million euros.🚨 Arsenal have held talks with Ademola Lookman ahead of a potential summer transfer. Last season, there were also contacts with the player who shined since moving to Serie A from RB Laipzig in 2022. Lookman made 77 goal involvements in his three seasons in Italy, remaining remarkably consistent. He notched 15 goals and eight assists in 2022/23, with 17 goals and 10 assists in 2023/24 and 20 goals and seven assists in 2024/25. Not bad at all, but there are other candidates for the wide attacker position and both are far more intriguing for Arsenal fans, and certainly for coach Mikel Arteta: Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze.Arsenal’s homegrown star remains loyal to North LondonThe Brazilian is in limbo at Real Madrid and his status is highly uncertain. Arsenal would jump at the chance to sign him, but nothing is certain at this point. However, Eze is available for as much as 80 million euros, and he has much needed Premier League experience and would fit in immediately. But, funnily enough, Lookman’s goal contribution number is actually better than that of Eze over the past three seasons and compares well to Rodrygo’s stats too. But the Nigerian (27) is the oldest of them all and is least ‘exciting’ signing out of those three. But he is in the mix to be Arsenal’s next signing.FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP 20251/8 finalsSaturdayPalmeiras – Botafogo 0-023.00: (3.40) Benfica (3.40) Chelsea (2.15)Sunday19.00: (1.22) PSG (7.00) Inter Miami (11.0)23.00: (5.30) Flamengo (3.60) Bayern (1.70)Monday19.00: (1.80) Inter (3.50) Fluminense (4.70)Tuesday04.00: (1.35) Manchester City (5.00) Al-Hilal (9.00)22.00: (1.67) Real Madrid (3.70) Juventus (5.50)Wednesday04.00: (1.80) Dortmund (3.60) Monterrey (4.60)***odds are subject to change***
