The walkout at Canadian club CF Montreal has continued with coach Wilfried Nancy the latest to ditch the club after what was largely a successful season for the Montreal-based club. He is set to join, Columbus Crew SCAfter a successful season as Montreal coach, Nancy’s future has been a subject of speculation in the Canadian media for weeks and on Tuesday evening, the club announced that it has reached an agreement with their MLS rivals that will see the coach alongside three other members of the technical bench depart.##NAJAVA_MECA_6871357##“CF Montréal announced Tuesday the end of the Club’s association with its head coach Wilfried Nancy who was contractually bound for the 2023 season,” read the statement in part.“CF Montréal reached a financial agreement with the Columbus Crew SC which also includes the departures of assistant coach Kwame Ampadu, fitness coach Jules Gueguen, and video analyst Maxime Chalier,”.He becomes the latest person to leave the club after Ismael Kone who moved to Watford, Alistair Johnson who has signed for Celtic, and Djordje Aleksandar Mihailovic who joined Az Alkmaar. Victor Wanyama’s future at the club remains uncertain as well.Montréal President, CEO Gabriel Gervais told the club’s official website that they tried to keep the Frenchman but he had made the decision to depart. He wished him well at his new workstation.“Despite the Club’s efforts to have Wilfried continue our project, we were forced to accept his decision to leave the organization. We want people who want to be with us and Wilfried has chosen a different path I would like to thank him for all his years with the Club and in particular, for what he accomplished with the first team over the past two seasons.
